There
was once an insane man, taken into police custody for accosting
strangers. Only the most skilled lawyer could see what had happened:
when the people came close to the man, they each accidentally, and
without realizing it, each, had stood on the tip of his necktie, which,
each time, drove the man into a kind of belated fury. Before the truth
was known, they had all complained about him, both the left and
